Zentangle Tile #89

Hello friends

Heavily inspired by Lynn Mead and her Tangle Deck #1, here is my Zentangle Tile #89, I was at a Dr's Office and there was a fair bit of waiting. Tangling helped pass the time.

Tangle a Day Calendar 2016, March 4th, 5th and 6th

Hello friends

Wow - it's been awhile since I've posted. Busy with moving the contents of our cabin into our (full!) house, then ... because why not ... out of town guests for just over a week.

The latter was good though, as it got us to FINALLY get our basement bathroom ready. We needed a new shower curtain and bar, a shower chair and some solid grab bars for our elderly guests. Done and done!

I haven't had a chance to work on any tiles or participate in challenges, but so far this month I've been able to keep up with at least tangling in my Tangle A Day Calendar. Today's share is a page from March 2016.

Zentangle Tile #97

Hello friends

I drew this tile, my Zentangle Tile #97 - just for fun. I'd been having some really good days with my RA and whether or not I over did it or the fact that I've thrown in the towel and after two years I'm eating gluten again ... but I hurt.

So there has been lots of time sitting in my chair and lots of time for Zentangle. It's amazing how it makes the pain disappear while I'm tangling.

Other than Pokeroot, all the tangles were new to me. And quite enjoyable!

Tangle a Day Calendar 2016, March 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Good morning friends

So far we are 5 days into September and I have managed to work on my Tangle A Day Calendar September pages each day! Hope I can keep it up. I was very satisfied when I finished off the July pages - doing a little each day helped the chaos of moving a little easier to manage.

Today I'd like to share the first page of March 2016. Sometimes I do the whole page as a single tangle and other times, like with this one - each day has it's own distinct square.

March 1 - Mel Mel
March 2 - Shattuck & Tipple
March 3 - Frickle and variations, Nzepple

Diva's Challenge "Spill It"

Good morning friends

Today I have a tile to share for the Diva Challenge #282. While Laura used beet juice for her spill - which tuned out fabulous - I have about zero energy and the most I could come up with was yesterday's coffee for my spill. The only reason I had leftover coffee at all, is that I made a big pot for the friends who were helping us move our belongings out of our mountain cabin yesterday. Otherwise I'm sure I would have to pass on this one.

I think it looks pretty the way it is, and I know I will want to do this again. Just the look of the different shapes was inspiring to me.

I  don't usually have a pre-conceived notion of what I'm going to do when I start a Zentangle tile and this was no exception. I'm happy with how it turned out, and I especially like Trelina, Eni Oken's newest Tangle.

The tenants get the keys tomorrow, and while I have so many boxes and bags to unpack and go through the pressure will be off. Packing up a house in 3 weeks makes for a CRAZY three weeks, and the stress is doing a number on my RA. Taking some tangling time is helping for sure.

Zentangle Tile #88

Hello friends

Today I'd like to share another tile made while waiting at a Dr's office. It was totally inspired by Lynn Mead's Tangle Deck. I'm looking forward to purchasing her 2nd deck the next time we are visit the US.

I started out with Ruutz, but that tangle ended up disappearing as I worked. So cool when that happens.

Zentangle Tile #93

Good morning friends

I had to try putting different patterns in each sections of the crazy Huggins. It's pretty busy, but i still had to try it. It was lots of fun to do, but I'm not crazy about the chaotic look to the tile. Crazy Huggins though is showing up in all my Zentangle these days. I haven't got it right yet, but I'm sure having fun trying.

I wondered what would happen if I added bands of colour and I like the tile much better this way. From a Zentangle Tile to a ZIA with just a few strokes of colour. (I used Prismacolor Pencils.)

'Rainbows" I'm not sure what this tangle is called. It is sort of Tagh like but also reminds me of Beelight without the grid. If you know what it's called, please let me know in a comment below and I will update this post.

String is  #223 from Tangle Patterns.com
